To Enter or Not To Enter? Now, THAT is the question...

There are always giveaways going on. A lot of people enter them. Odds are usually against you when you enter a big one too...But it never fails, the allure of winning the "grand prize" usually is what compels us all to enter them. I personally love entering giveaways. I enter as many as I can. Every once in a while, I've won.

This last weekend I got the opportunity to attend SF Chefs 2011 as a result of winning one of those giveaways I entered. POM Wonderful hosted the giveaway, which included 2 tickets to attend the event. I invited my Stepmom to go with me and make an overnight trip of it, and do some sightseeing as well.

The evening was already started by the time we parked the car and walked about 5ish blocks to the event. We should have parked a little closer, but we saw the Westin hotel and instead of going by our directions, we found the closest parking structure and parked. Once inside I had to ask directions, only to find out that the event is right outside the other Westin hotel. So we decided to just walk it out. I figured it would be a chance to see a little of the area.

So then we made it inside. Talk about packed!

As soon as you walked in there was a table full of wine glasses and a lady giving out wine glass necklace things. They we're pretty great. Hands free! The smells were awesome, we tasted so many different things. The yummy pomegranate drink we had inside the POM Wonderful lounge was great!

At the end of the evening, as we walked back to the parking structure I saw these and just wanted to share them with you.

The next day included sightseeing at Pier 39. There are a lot of little shops there and if you've never been there, you should really take a day trip. Perfect for a family outing. We saw a lot of really cool things.

We had such a great time. I loved every minute of the SF Chefs and the Pier 39 visit.
