Welcome to the new page! I added this page not only as a recipe spot for good home-cooked meals, but also as a place you can find recipes to use with coupons that are out. When I post a recipe and there is a current coupon you could use I will add it next to the recipe and post when they will expire whenever possible. So to celebrate the starting of this new extension of the website, I've decided to post a recipe for a cocktail. Keep in mind: you can always omit the alcohol if you chose! Hot Apple Cider Cocktail Serves 6 1 1/2 Quarts Apple Juice or 1 Box Apple Cider packets, made, ($1.49 with in ad coupon @ Safeway until 11/15/11) 3 cinnamon sticks about 2 1/2 inches long (check the Latin section of the market for this item) 12 whole cloves (check the Latin section) 6 whole allspice (check the Latin section) Whipped Cream ($1.00/2 in Safeway Thanksgiving Flier) 1 1/2 cups Spiced Rum (on sale $20.00 @ Safeway until 11/15/11) Heat Apple Juice and spices on low heat for about 20-30 minutes. Remove Spices. Pour into glasses. Add 1/4 cup rum to each glass, and top with whipped cream.
